ABOUT
CV
I work as a choreographer, performer, collaborator, and writer, in the expanded field of dance. I dance to practice a trans- and extra territorial sense of being, with a focus on process, collaboration and relation. My work is conceptual, emotional, and speculative.

My research builds from a curiosity in cyclicity and notions of time. Through observational practices I seek to unlearn alignments of linearity, working with ecological protagonists such as Sun (Sunrise Commitment, 2018), and Clouds (Deep Gazing, 2022/23) as collaborators, inviting their constraints and their teachings to guide my work.

Communication is an alchemical practice of attention, self-awareness and transformation; my research centers subtle energy, such as channeling, nonverbal communication, congruency training and interspecies relationships. Lately I am working with Equine partners, horses, donkeys and mules. To further develop this research on ineffability and beyond verbal forms of communication, I will begin an interdisciplinary PhD in Humanities at Concordia University in Autumn 2024.

As a maker, performer and dramaturg, I'm an ardent collaborator and find energy through relation with artists such as Hanako Hoshimi-Caines (CA), Charlie Prince (LB), Camille Lacelle-Wilsey (CA), Nina Vroemen (together as Horizon Factory), Ira Melkonyan (NL/UA), and Jana Vetten (DE, as Local Business).

As a writer I self-published O (an artist book, 2018), was Editor-in-Chief of Moving Parts: Articulated Bodies and Objects in Performance (Café Concret, 2020) and contribute essays to other books such as Chairs (Éditions Tryptique, éditeur Olivia Tapiero 2019), and "Diffracting New Materialisms" (Palgrave 2023).

In 2018 I completed a Masters at DAS Theatre (formerly DasArts) in Amsterdam. In 2021 I was supported by the Centre de Création O Vertigo within their Emerging Artist program, and am part of The 3rd Floor Projects at Usine C for 2022-2023.

Since 2023 I am a birth support practitioner, working with the community organization Alternative Naissance, offering free accompaniment for prenatal, birth, and postpartum. My aim is to become a full-spectrum doula, an aspect of birthwork through which I’m dedicated to reproductive justice.
